Human Influence

Humans have cut down and destroyed more than half the world's rainforests for its timber, minerals and for place to settle in.  In some places, overpopulation and overuse for agriculture have contributed to the deforestation.  The rate of destruction is about 93,000 square miles a year.  This displaces a large variety of plants and animals that can not survive anywhere else but in a tropical rainforest biome; more than half of the plants and animals on the earth live in rainforests.  If man continues to destroy them we might lose some of the most beautiful and unique species on the planet.(https://www.bagheera.com/inthewild/spot_sprain.htm)
